About Hoodia What is Hoodia? Hoodia (Hoodia gordonii) is a cactus that grows deep inside the African Kalahari desert. It thrives in extremely high temperatures, and takes years to mature. The San Bushmen of the Kalahari, one of the world's oldest and most primitive tribes, had been eating the Hoodia for thousands of years, to stave off hunger during long hunting trips. When South African scientists were routinely testing it, they discovered the plant contained a previously unknown molecule, which has since been christened P 57. The license was sold to a Cambridgeshire bio-pharmaceutical company, Phytopharm, who in turn sold the development and marketing rights to the giant Pfizer Corporation.

Is Hoodia safe? For anyone without a pre-existing medical condition or pregnant women, Hoodia has shown no side effects other than a reduced desire for food, increased energy and weight loss.

How does it work to suppress appetite? Hoodia gordonii contains a so-called P57 molecule which is 10,000 times as active as glucose. It goes to the mid-brain and makes those nerve cells fire as if you were full. That's a real MIRACLE!!! Hoodia tricks the brain into thinking you've eaten a three course meal. You're simply NOT HUNGRY ANYMORE! You'll still eat . but you'll EAT A LOT LESS!!! And slim down.

How much weight will I lose if I use Hoodia? That really depends on your diet and exercise. Hoodia is an amazing weapon to cut hunger and cravings, of course we all still need to eat. What you decide to eat for your meals and how much you exercise will determine how much weight you lose. For most people, it is those late night snacks and in between meal cravings that are the hardest to deal with. Hoodia will help reduce the desire to snack, since you trick your brain into thinking you are full. Therefore, if you have healthy meals and exercise, you should see significant weight loss - all without side effects!

When will I see the results? You should see results within 14 days. While some people will notice appetite suppression within the first few days of using Hoodia, for other people the body needs more time to build up the active ingredients in Hoodia. For this reason, you should stick with taking a Hoodia supplement as directed for at least 14 days before judging its effectiveness. It is also important to drink 8 ounces of water when taking Hoodia capsules, this helps the Hoodia get fully absorbed into your body.

What is Hoodia suggested usage? HoodiaLife™ should be taken twice a day 1 hour before each main meal, lunch and dinner. While some clients notice appetite suppressant within the first few days of usage, please allow up to 14 days to see the full appetite suppressant effect of Hoodia.

Is it legal to sell Hoodia Gordonii diet pills in the U.S.? Yes, it is completely legal to sell HoodiaLife.. All our herbal products are legally sold in the United States.

What about all the cheaper Hoodia supplements on the market? Mind, ONLY the heart of ONLY ONE of the 20 species of Hoodia plant, that is Hoodia Gordonii, grown ONLY in the Kalahari Desert has been shown to suppress appetite. Real Hoodia Gordonii from the Kalahari Desert is expensive to grow, process and bottle. Some companies are claiming to sell Hoodia supplements for 50% less than what it costs to buy the raw Hoodia from South Africa. This leads us to believe they are either using Hoodia from China or Mexico (which costs much less than South African Hoodia and has no appetite suppressant effect), or use the whole Hoodia plant (not the heart of the plant as it should be). To keep their supplements cheap these companies can also use one of the 19 other species of Hoodia and still say "Contains 100% Hoodia". While that quote is technically true, it does not have the Hoodia Gordonii that will help with weight loss. So the conclusion is: if a Hoodia supplement is very cheap, it is probably a fake.
